Hey guys! IT'S MY BIRTHDAY WEEK! In celebration of me being another year wiser (or so I'm hoping), I will be sharing a free printable everyday this week with you. Make sure to check back everyday this week!
J A N U A R Y ! I love January because it's a fresh start to the new year and because it's my birth month. It's going to be a great and challenging upcoming year but I am so excited!
Doesn't it feel like we're always counting down to something? X days until Christmas, X days until New Years, X days until Valentine's Days. I am also counting down, not to a holiday, but until I can finally fulfill one of my biggest dreams, to be a Peace Corps Volunteer. Only 2 more months!
Hi guys! Since many people found the last Icon Tutorial helpful I decided to make another tutorial to show you guys how to make a banner with Silhouette Studio. You can use this to make weekend banners or any other headings you want for your planner. If you have any questions, leave them in the comments below.
We finally have snow this winter! I live in Wisconsin so normally by Thanksgiving we would already have some snow, but this year we didn’t get any snow until January and we got A LOT OF IT. 12+ inches to be exact! I spent about 4 hours shoveling the snow yesterday. So today, in celebration (?) of our first snow storm here is a winter theme printable.
I've never watched any episodes of The Bachelor or Bachelorette until.... Chris's season. To be honest the only reason I started watching was because of Ellen. I would see small clips occasionally on The Ellen Degeneres show and some of the stuff that happens on the show were ridiculous and that's why I decided to watch a few episodes. That turned into a few more episodes and by the time I've realized it, the season was over. Not going to lie, I'm #TeamBritt all the way. Still a little bitter that she wasn't chosen to be the Bachelorette, but Kaitlyn is lovely as well.
It’s the week after New Years… & also (my boyfriend and I) our 1 year anniversary! In celebration of that I created a sweet pink & gold theme printables. This week is much fuller than most weeks because I’m still trying out different things with my planner. I hope you guys enjoy it.
I'm so excited to start using my new planner! You guys know I'm all about saving money, so a while back I got an amazing deal on the Happy Planner Kit. It originally retails for $34.99, but I got it when Michael's sold it for 40% off AND I was able to use a 25% off coupon on top of it. So I paid about $16 after tax. SCORE!!
Seriously since my last blog post (last night) I feel like I've literally entered a rabbit hole. In this case, the rabbit hole of creating planner stickers! I'm learning so much and am so excited to share with you guys! So if you're like me --you're either too broke to buy planner stickers on Etsy or too creative to not create your own! I have good news for you, it's super EASY!
There are many ways to create planner stickers -- but here is how I do it. ---> Also make sure to read the blog post before this one for other great websites to get FREE GRAPHICS to use for your stickers.
1. Download Silhouette Studio
I know what you're thinking, don't freak out on me just yet! I was reluctant to try this software at first because I didn't own a fancy silhouette cutting machine (although I hope to someday--maybe). BUT GREAT NEWS --- YOU DON'T NEED A FANCY MACHINE!! The software is free to download (there's a more advance version you can pay for--BUT who doesn't like free stuff). Click here to download the "Silhouette Studio Basic Edition."
2. Watch these tutorials
It may seem overwhelming at first learning a new software, but I guaranteed you, you won't regret it! It has made designing so much easier compared to what I was doing before.
Basics - Boxes
I'm so happy that I'm able to dive back into my creative side. Throughout college I worked as a graphic designer making lots and lots of pretty things, but never really got to play around much. NOW I finally have a purpose to & it's so much fun. It's unfortunate I don't own Adobe Photoshop, so it takes so much longer to create anything graphically.
If you're like me, I'm glad you've stumble upon this blog post, because YOU DON'T NEED PHOTOSHOP to create great printables! These are websites I've used to make awesome printables +++ go to the end for a FREE Winter Kit printable!
This is by far the BEST FREE online photo editing software I've come across. If you're already a photoshop user, this site is a simpler version of photoshop. It's less advanced (since it's FREE!) but it gets the job done!
